This is a book i made for my cousin’s kids (3-4 yr olds). It’s a lot of fun, and only took an hour to make – An hour in exchange for inexplicable joy and entertainment.

This is a cover for the libretto of my Aunt’s soprano recital, but it didn’t quite meet my level of expectation. As Ira Glass says, as beginners, we have really good taste, but the gap between what we make and what we would like to make at first seem disparate; only with a lot of practice do we begin to bridge that gap. Since Fabrica and Tokyo I’ve become sincerely interested in understanding the process of good design.

Japanese shops selling sweets or meals (lunch, dinner, desert) typically have a plastic display of the food. They are expertly crafted to look like the real thing.

Money I found in Tokyo, mostly near shrines & temples.
